The way i studied for the test was simple i retook important notes and created a web that would help me study. Once I finished that I researched more on specific early humans like the homo erectus or cro-magnon. My mom also helped me study, she quizzed me and I wrote down the answers if I got them incorrect. I also Looked through the online textbook and re read some important chapters and articles. lastly i referred to my notes and looked at points that I high lighted or
I could have spent more time studying because overall I spent only 45 minutes to an hour. I also could have talked to some of my friends and they could have helped me or we could have collaborated and shared some notes and important facts. I didn't do this because I was on a tight scheduled and didn't have much time.
The most surprising thing we I learnt this unit is that the homo erectus was the first early human to use fire. I was thinking that it was either the Neanderthals or cro magnons. I also found out that early humans started walking on two feet because they wanted to attract the opposite gender

How does the use of fire demonstrate prehistoric people's ability to adapt to their environment
How does the use of fire demonstrate prehistoric people's ability to adapt to their environment
The use of fire shows that early humans were capable of taking care of them selfs and using tools that could help them survive. Fire provided warmth during the cold winter. fire was also used for scarring away animals and cooking food. The early hominids were capable of making new discoveries that led to a better life. Improved health and better living conditions.

Why did early humans begin to walk on two feet?
Early humans began walking on two feet because they needed 2 hands in order for them to use tools. Before they walked on two feet they couldn't use their hand effectively as they do on two feet. Early humans also could have walked on two feet because they wanted to impress the opposite gender by gathering the most food. For the early humans the one who has the most food was the most popular. Another reason could have been that they needed a faster way of walking and they found walking on two feet faster.
Why were tool-making and language important for the development of human culture
Why were tool-making and language important for the development of human culture?
Yes tool making and language were important for the development of human culture, they were important because language allows early humans to communicate with each other and with other tribes. This can start trades and exchange of cultures. Tools were important because they Helped early humans hunt, gather and build. Tools also made the early humans walk in a bipedal manner. This is so because the early homininds needed 2 free hands.

Hobbits
The hobbits or Homo Florensiensis were a possible species of early hominids. They had similar characteristics like the Homo Sapiens but were much smaller. Some anthropologists believe that this was a result of a disease called island dwarfism. There have been many debates over the existence of this species. They have similar bones and joints to the homo sapiens but they are smaller. They are still marked as a possible species.

Humanities reflection
What did you learn?
I must say that I learned a lot of things, the topic that I learned about the most is probably archeology. We had one small dig where we went to the high-school. At the dig we didn’t find anything special, but we did gain special knowledge about how to properly use all of the tools and how to take proper field notes and make proper labels. We also learned a lot about the Footsteps at Laetoli this was really interesting because we learned something about the early humans. We also focused a lot on learning what the job of an archeologist is and how they use different tools to help themselves.
What did you find most interesting?
The most interesting thing we did in this unit was the archeological dig. I thought that it was interesting because I always wanted to experience the thrill of digging out a bone or a pottery shard. And when I found the first little coin it was as If I had found a huge golden cup. I just thought that it was a great idea and it worked well.
What learning skills did you use and how?
I used the my research skills when I needed to look up any terms or anything that I want clear about. I also used all of the knowledge I had about archeology and other topics to try and stay in all of the class discussions that were going on. Finally I used everything that we learnt in class in order to try and make my dig as professional as possible.
What did you learn about yourself?
I learnt that I am surprisingly good at researching abut certain topics. I also uncovered a hidden intrest in humanities especially in ancient mysteries like Stonehenge.
